<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Hooohooo Iam back………. I was not much active with new posts for a while, but that doesn’t mean I was away from this wonderful blogland. I am a regular visitor at all my favorite blogs, (u know tat na….my comments were always there in all ur new posts..hi hi hi ), and that visits leads to this post. I just want to show u a beautiful stitch called </span><a href="http://www.needlenthread.com/2013/01/stitch-fun-lattice-filling-griffin-stitch.html"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Griffin Stitch</span></a><span style="font-family: Calibri;">. Griffin stitch simply satisfies all my stitch preferences, I always love working with different colors of thread, I love big patterns (its tooo tedious to fill big patterns, so I stick to smaller ones), and the most important is it gives a different unique look to our work….. </span></div>

I learned this stitch from <a href="http://www.embroidery.rocksea.org/stitch/chain-stitch/butterfly-chain-stitch/">Sarah’s hand embroidery tutorials</a>. See, here I ll show u my application of this stitch, </p> <p>well I am very much fond of fabindia kurthas, simple and elegant, but most of it has low neck, which is very uncomfortable for me. I simply tried this beautiful stitch on the neck part, it gives a look of a simple motif at the neck part and at the same time my problem is also solved…</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Yj-3Ow6W9G0/T79a6MdTbKI/AAAAAAAABbg/iOqhZSJxC68/s1600-h/DSCN6172%25255B17%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6172" border="0" alt="DSCN6172" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-mYXjAeHRnYA/T79a748fZbI/AAAAAAAABbo/Q50UJ5xabbI/DSCN6172_thumb%25255B14%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="300" height="225"></a><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-AY8YOyJNy4k/T79bD3wj4sI/AAAAAAAABbw/yKBliPVUOjQ/s1600-h/DSCN6173%25255B12%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6173" border="0" alt="DSCN6173" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-qI_tuXfDa5o/T79bFidFqkI/AAAAAAAABb4/5XMR8ZFZwbs/DSCN6173_thumb%25255B15%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="268" height="325"></a></p> <p>the other one, my favouuuuuuurite , gift from my dear Rajani Chechi…( my sis)</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-nfdrtcXzsoE/T79bOmhNWQI/AAAAAAAABcA/59X_qIwDW3s/s1600-h/DSCN6174%25255B12%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6174" border="0" alt="DSCN6174" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-hWFV7wDfdCE/T79bQmEUcmI/AAAAAAAABcI/z01hQkr9JV8/DSCN6174_thumb%25255B8%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="252" height="267"></a><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-h0F9KMNm4ws/T79bU0ft8_I/AAAAAAAABcQ/6PE2K0-zvHw/s1600-h/DSCN6175%25255B21%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6175" border="0" alt="DSCN6175" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-kNSq2kh30qY/T79bWUTse_I/AAAAAAAABcY/ulRdbekrVds/DSCN6175_thumb%25255B23%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="268" height="327"></a></p> RajiSajhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01649143281033616109noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946774613704170219.post-38258166991176205242012-05-14T21:17:00.001-07:002012-05-14T21:17:39.606-07:00Again a trial…this time feather …:-)<p>Yes, I told u na peacock related works are my long cherished wishes, this time I worked on a peacock feather on my Unni’ s (my son) kurtha. The colors of metallic thread is also not getting <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-sadsmile" alt="Sad smile" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-g2wUzHo_1H8/T1rE-X4kaHI/AAAAAAAABRg/LQh60rHx5sc/wlEmoticon-sadsmile2.png?imgmax=800">. Anyway my Amma, and brother in law is out for shopping for me, well they r now at Badogadara, so many embroidery shops are there it seems, hmmm lets see..</p> <p>Then fabric, I tried it on a cotton pillow cover. I have plans to work on a sari, set mundu, tshirt etc, but not now, only after making my peacocks little more perfect <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-8DTE9szKxuE/T1rFBFQiflI/AAAAAAAABRo/QjeivyPIT2A/wlEmoticon-smile2.png?imgmax=800">.</p> <p>Here comes our hero…</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-Z_ZH4zT_7KY/T1rFMYHgJdI/AAAAAAAABRw/cpkD-TMqA9E/s1600-h/DSCN60605.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6060" border="0" alt="DSCN6060" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-TNvIC5RhDCk/T1rFQC3f9AI/AAAAAAAABR4/TP7tU3gifIs/DSCN6060_thumb5.jpg?imgmax=800" width="300" height="274"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-g38DMJ5eTIM/T1rLVoMKWYI/AAAAAAAABSI/xSQG6RYtcVw/s1600-h/DSCN60621.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN6062" border="0" alt="DSCN6062" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-MqaORvIXscE/T1rLY2PmLbI/AAAAAAAABSQ/SfrcTSdpIwg/DSCN6062_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="300" height="239"></a></p> <p>Yeah, there’s still a lot of room for improvement I know, but I am not that disappointed…</p> <p>ll b back with more perfect peacocks…</p> RajiSajhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01649143281033616109noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946774613704170219.post-60111108113784632622012-03-03T19:33:00.001-08:002012-03-03T19:51:51.395-08:00Pistil Stitch<p><a href="http://www.google.co.in/#"><font size="2"></font></a> <p><font size="2">Pistil Stitch is nothing but a combination of <a href="http://threadwithme.blogspot.in/2011/12/french-knot.html">French knot</a> and a straight stitch i.e. a tailed French knot.
