Pistil Stitch is nothing but a combination of French knot and a straight stitch i.e. a tailed French knot. This is again a Brazilian embroidery stitch technique.
Let us see the process,
Two points are involved in the needle movement of Pistil Stitch.
Step 1 : Take the needle out through the point A.
Step 2 : Twist the thread around the needle to make the French knot, then insert the needle through the point B.
Pistil Stitch is formed…. simple rite ???
Started with a master plan in mind, but ended up in something else .
This one I love…
See the wrong side of this motif, looks like the base of Kamal Kadai…
