In lessons 3 and 4 we dealt with back stitch, double back stitch, whipped back stitch, detached chain variation, roman stitch. See our motif is taking shape rite….

I was unaware that the chikan embroidery is doing with single color thread. I did different stitches with different colors just to distinguish the stitches in single glance ( in future ).

Those who are interested in chikan work, please enroll for the second phase SAL by sending an email to Anita.

Raji good work. In your future projects try using single color for ex white thread on pink fabric or pink com pink. The results will be amazing.

Shami.

Your stitches look very nice. It is interesting how different this design looks when using a variation of colors or darker colors. I hope you are enjoying the project as much as I am. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Raji,
I've mentioned about colours in class supplies list.I guess you didn't remember. In the tracing outline there are no tiny lines from the whipped back stitch part, please refer the design. It's there only in your stitch guide to indicate the placement of straight stitches which I'm yet to post.
Your stitching looks good!

I like your colors - they're bright and cheerful, and doing different stitches in different colors for future reference makes sense to me.
