Flat stitch

Flat Stitch – Next filling stitch on my table cloth…

Flat stitch is somewhat similar to opened fishbone stitch, it is again a good filling stitch, this stitch is also done by dividing the pattern into four parts.

Let us see the process,

The pattern is divided into four parts, you can see four lines L (left line), m1 (middle first), m2(middle second) and R (right).

Step 1 : Take the needle out through the line L.

Step 2 : Insert the needle at m2 and take it out through R.

Step 3 : Insert the needle at m1 and take it out through L.

 

So the needle flow is

The finished pattern will look like this..

I have left lot of spaces in between each stitch for understanding the stitch flow, when u do make the stitches little more closer.

the wrong side of the stitch will look somewhat like this…
