Opened Fishbone Stitch

Opened Fishbone Stitch , a variation of fishbone stitch used as decorative as well as filling stitch. The difference is that in opened fishbone stitch the petal or the leaf pattern is divided into four parts, instead of a single line, here there is two lines. So the middle stitches fall on these two middle lines.

Let us see the process,

Here I am using a leaf type pattern, and it is divided into four parts. So here you can see four lines L (left line), m1 (middle first), m2 (middle second), and R (right).

Step 1 : Take the needle out through the line L.

Step 2 : Insert the needle at m2 and take it out through m1. ( see the above fig)

Step 3 : Insert the needle at R and take it out through L

continue the process… your end product will look somewhat like this…

the reverse side of this stitch looks like this…..

I left a lot of space in between each stitch for understanding, when u do, make the stitches little more closer..

Hands on

I hope u all can try on this beautiful stitch.
